	Fine Arts SCACS Fine Arts Competition Annually students in the South Carolina Association of Christian schools compete in art and academics as well as athletics. This association represents over eighty schools with over 16,000 students. Competing were some of the brightest minds from some of the elite private Christian schools in South Carolina. In academic testing, this year students from Carolina Christian Academy had the highest scores in science, biology, spelling and history. In other subjects, CCA students had the second or third highest scores in the state. In fine arts competition, CCA students rank among the best. Superior is the highest designation given followed by excellent. Below is how some of CCA’s students did in the 2007 competition. Spelling Competition Papa Odita-Honnah was one of twenty-five students who entered the Level 1 Spelling Bee (grades 1 – 3) in the up-state academic competition of the South Carolina Association of Christian Schools. In preparation for spelling bee competition students were given a list of 688 words to memorize. Round after round these smart kids spelled words that would stump many a college grad. In the end the competition came down to two 3^rd graders, a girl and a boy. Each spelled word after word and it appeared the competition would never end. However, in the end Papa Odita-Honnah prevailed, winning the up-state competition and became on of the two top 3^rd grade spellers in the state.
